X019 Review: Most Everything You Need To Know.

Xbox put on their yearly conference in London this year. X019 aired yesterday and I guess it was okay? There are some pretty cool things coming to Xbox for this year and in 2020 no doubt, but I can't help but think most of their announcements were fillers. Game Pass Ultimate holders were the real winners here so if you haven't signed up for that service, you need to. You can get your first 3 months of the service for only $1 right now. So get to it. Anyways, below is mostly everything you need to know if you want a bullet points view of the show:

  • A crap ton of Final Fantasy games are at last going to be available to Xbox players:Final Fantasies 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 12, all three of the 13s, and 15 will be on Game Pass.

  • Streets of Rage 4 will be available on Game Pass as well as Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, Witcher 3, Rage 2 and My Friend Pedro which are available now.

  • Game Pass Ultimate is only $1 for the first 3 months.

  • With Game Pass Ultimate you get a 6 month sub to Spotify's premium service, 1 month of EA access and 3 months of Discord's premium service.

  • Yakuza is finally coming to the Xbox with Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 1, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 in early 2020 supposedly.

  • Kingdom Hearts is also finally making its way to Xbox users. The entire series will be here for us to all get lost in the nonsensical story and still be wondering "Wtf?".

  • Kingdom Hearts 3 demo is now playable as of 11/14/2019

  • Halo Reach is being added to the Master Chief Collection for Xbox and PC on December 3, 2019. You can buy Reach by itself for $10 in all its remastered glory.

  • Wasteland 3 will be available May 19, 2020. You can pre-order it now.

  • Sea of Thieves newest update will be available November 20, 2019. It's called "The Seabound Soul" and will introduce a new ammo type: Firebombs.

  • KartRider, from developer Nexon, will be available sometime in 2020.

  • xCloud is getting more titles and should be hitting the PC market in 2020. Microsoft is also working to allow the service to work universally with most bluetooth hardware. Meaning you can use a Dualshock controller eventually.

  • CrossfireX, Flight Simulator, Minecraft: Dungeons, Age of Empires IV, The Artful Escape and Jedi: Fallen Order received new trailers/are coming to the Xbox.

  • Planet Coaster: Console Edition is coming in 2020.

  • Microsoft lowers prices on Xbox consoles, controllers and games for the Holiday season(Black Friday/Cyber Monday). The sales will run on the Microsoft Store from November 24th through December 2nd (a few days earlier than most other retailers). Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold members will be able to access these deals early on November 21st.

Check out the following trailers for some of the titles revealed below:

Streets of Rage 4: Come on now, if you're around my age(36) you remember this franchise pretty fondly. Kinda stoked to play this game.

Tell Me Why: I admit, this looks like it's going to be a heavy hitting emotional roller coaster of a game. From the people who brought you Life Is Strange this looks like it's just going to be a game full of SJW, "REEEE!!" culture pushing material, but at the same time it's probably going to be tastefully done and will be a masterpiece of a game. I actually have high hopes for this game. Really hope "Get woke, go broke" doesn't apply here.

West of Dead: I dunno, it seems okay I guess? Reminds me of a weird Ghost Rider ripoff+dungeon crawler. Click the link to go to the official page and make your own opinion about it.

Drake Hollow: This actually looks pretty interesting. I'm going to keep my eye on this title.

Everwild from Rare has my attention as well. Check out the trailer to see if it peaks your interest as well.

CrossfireX just seems like it's going to be a good time. Not like there needs to be more FPS games out there in the battle royale framework but it legit seems like a serious contender able to shine in the genre.

Bleeding Edge will be available March 24, 2020. I mean it looks like it's going to be fun but it also just looks like a ripoff of Overwatch. I don't know how many more games like this the industry can take seriously but hey, whatever, Overwatch really does need a serious competitor. A closed beta is available for people who pre-order the game on Feb 14, 2020.

Well, that's about it in a nutshell. Like I said, it was kind of "meh" but the real winners were the Game Pass Ultimate holders. Not only is Game Pass Ultimate the best deal out there right now hands down, if you give most of these titles long enough they'll probably end up on the Game Pass anyways. Hope you enjoyed the article! Don't forget to share this around, like it, and follow us on all our social media outlets!
